Our purpose
Good food should do good.
Nigeria grows plenty. Yet too much of it is left behind on the farm, and too little of its value reaches the people who grow it. That is the gap OKBFresh was built to close.
What we’re working toward
Goals we hold ourselves to.
OKBFresh is a young company — we won’t dress ambition up as achievement. These are the targets we’ve set for ourselves, and we’ll keep count as we grow.
The income lift we aim to create for the farms we buy from, season after season.
Smallholder growers we intend to buy from directly by 2027.
Produce we plan to keep on plates that would otherwise spoil on the farm.
Emissions spared when edible food is eaten instead of left to rot.
The water that grew our food should never be wasted along with it.
Roles for young Nigerians in sorting, handling, logistics and quality.
Where change happens
Six ways we mean to make a difference.
Fairer earnings for growers
When farmers can sell their whole harvest at a fair price, the extra income reaches the households that need it most — the rural families who grow so much of what Nigeria eats.
More good food on the market
By moving harvests quickly and wasting less, we help keep safe, nutritious food within reach of Nigerian homes and businesses, in good times and lean seasons alike.
Women at the centre
Women carry much of the work on Nigeria’s farms. A dependable buyer means steadier income — and more room for women to invest in their own businesses, families and futures.
Opportunity for young Nigerians
A modern produce trade needs hands and minds: sorting, packing, moving, checking quality. Every step of our growth opens work young people can build a livelihood on.
Nothing good goes to waste
Too much food is discarded for how it looks. We create demand for the full harvest, so more of what farmers grow ends up on plates instead of in heaps at the farm gate.
A lighter footprint
Food that gets eaten is emissions and water that were never squandered. Every rescued kilo is a small, practical win for the land our growers depend on.
Beautifully imperfect
Judge it by taste, not by shape.
A knobbly carrot. An undersized tomato. A bumper harvest that arrives all at once. None of it should end up wasted just because a buyer somewhere asked for something prettier. We exist to give every one of those harvests a market — and every grower behind them a fair chance.
A fresher way to do business.
For kitchens with ambition. And farmers with something good to share.
